Solar water heaters are a great way to save money. They are cheap to make, and you can hook them up to your existing water heater so you can have hot water when the sun isn't shining. You'd be surprised at how hot the sun can heat your water!

Solar water heaters work the same way a car's radiator works. The water is pumped through copper tubing with a lot of switchbacks through the hot panel the sun is shining on, then the water goes back to a tank for storage. There are many types of solar water heaters, and many more ways you can hook them up.

You can usually find free guides on the internet, and some well thought out ones that are packed full of useful information that you could spend hours searching Google for. I've found this guide to be the most helpful.

Create a Blog

If you are find yourself sitting at the computer, nothing to do, and your so bored the only thing you can think to type in Google is, "extremely bored", one thing to do is to start a blog! It doesn't matter what your blog is on, it could be on yourself for that matter. "What I did at work today", "How many times my cat chased a fly today", or even "When I'm planning on going to sleep tonight". Blogging is a great way to pass the time, and writing helps keep your mind busy. There are many free blogging websites out there, but I recommend Blogger.com, it is very easy to use.

"But what if I can't write"

If you can't write, don't worry! Even if you are terrible at writing, a blog is a still a good thing to have. You can express yourself in whatever way you want. You may not attract many visitors, but hey, all you need is for a place to get your mind off stuff, who cares if others see it?

Running your car on HHO

Running your car on HHO, or 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen, gas is a very realistic way to save money! I have personally experimented and use these systems on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler, and I have seen noticeable improvements in my fuel economy. I only used a small HHO generator for a 4 liter engine, so my results weren't as impressive on my jeep, but when I put the small system in a smaller engine, the results were outstanding! I need to install a larger system on my jeep to see the same results, but my jeep sure feels like it has a lot more power. Regardless of engine size, even if you put a small HHO generator on it and don't see an increase in fuel economy, you will still feel the difference. The engine runs smoother, is more responsive, and will burn a whole lot cleaner. The effect on diesel engines is greater than gasoline as well. The generators are very easy to make and install, and are easy to maintain.

Inspecting a used vehicle is a very important part of looking for a used vehicle. It can be more important than the miles on the vehicle! Oil leaks, burns oil, worn bearings, worn fuel lines, weak A/C, and weak heaters are just some of the most overlooked problems with used vehicles. Most people don't even know how to look for most of the problems!

Inspecting the fuel lines

This has to be one of the most overlooked areas of a used car. To do this you'll want to get under the vehicle and locate the fuel tank (most likely towards the back of the vehicle), and find either some rubber hoses coming from the tank, or some small metal pipes coming from the fuel tank. Follow these up until they go into the engine, looking for damage or excessive wear as you go along (rubber: any cracks or brittle tubing ; metal: any bends in the pipes). If you run into a canister of some sort, that is the fuel filter, and it is a good idea to ask when the last time it was replaced (if the car has more than 100,000 miles on the car)

Steps

Until at least level 40, only choose "gathering" professions. These allow you to collect the materials ("mats") that other players use to make items. The best professions to harvest these mats are skinning, herbalism, mining and enchanting (for disenchanting). Make sure to also pick up fishing and cooking which do not count against your two-profession limit.
When you are level 20, your professions should have already made you over 100g, even after you pay for your class skills. Go buy your mount with pride! At this point if you are getting the crafter's itch, you should pick up a crafting profession such as blacksmithing, leatherworking, alchemy or jewelcrafting.
Once you hit level 58, make sure to go to the Outlands. Because of the enormous costs for flying mounts, Blizzard designed this Burning Crusade world to make you a lot more gold than you can get from Azeroth. However, at this point it may be better to simply stay in Azeroth until you hit level 60 because Blizzard recently upgraded quest money and exp rewards in Azeroth.
Once in the Outlands, make sure to begin farming elemental motes. These are used to create primals which are required for Burning Crusade crafting and people pay enormous sums for them on the auction house.
Go buy items (mostly crafting recipes) with a limited amount from a vendor and sell them for a higher price.
- Rather than spending your money on new items at the AH (auction house), go run an instance, you will get new gear, complete quests, and save plenty of gold.
Get better gear. Instead of completing every quest you can while in Outlands leveling up, run instances to get better gear, a decent amount of money and save the quests for when you are at level 70 when most quests instead of giving a 2 gold reward will give as much as 12 gold per quest. This is very profitable if you have not completed quests in the higher level zones as you can make close to 1000 gold per zone.
Auctioning. Get the add-on "Auctioneer" which can automatically tell you the best price to sell anything at the auction house. Then run instances, collecting greed loot and sell them at the auction house. You will find that things like shadowgem and malachite can sell for up to 3 gold each for rich characters who need items quickly.

Tips

Mounts can now be bought at level 20! Effective from Patch 3.2
Sell the gray and white items you find to vendors. They are called "trash" for a reason. They are meant to be vendored, and gray/white gear over level 15 will probably not sell on the auction house. Over time this will make you a lot of gold. The addon "Autoprofit" will help a lot with this by automatically vendoring all gray items in your inventory
Create an alternative character ("alt") and mail all valuable items (greens, blues, profession materials, cloth, etc.) you find to it. Use your alt to store items (called a bank) and to sell items on the auction house (also sometimes referred to as an "AH mule" or a "bank character", which are especially useful when your character is far from a major city).
Invest in big bags such as Netherweave Bags. Having lots of space on your character will greatly increase the amount you can gather (and then sell) on each trip out.
Make friends in the game and join a guild with helpful people in it! Just like real life, social networking will mean the difference between making one gold or 1,000.
SELL LOW AND SET A BUYOUT! This cannot stressed enough; always market on the trade channel before putting it on the Auction House, and do not undercut the other auctions, as it will start a bidding war with no winner. Use a mod like Auctioneer to auto set the price to market standards.
Sell stackable items on the auction house one at a time or in stacks of two or three. Often you will earn more gold by selling 20 individual items than one stack of 20 items. Selling in smaller stacks also both reduces your overall deposit substantially AND reduces your lost money in the event your item does not sell. But please, do not sell a large number (like 50) of the same item one by one. Doing this undermines the price of the item: supply has vastly increased, but demand has stayed the same, so the prices will drop to entice buyers. It is also obnoxious. Holding onto your items for a few days may mean the difference between 50 silver and 5 gold.
There are other add-ons that can help you make gold in WoW. Auctioneer helps record prices of what items are selling for on the Auction House, and can help you find deals that you can buy and resell for a profit.
Another add-on that is helpful for gatherers is Cartographer Routes. It plots the shortest distance between spawnpoints of ore or herbs.
Deviate Fish sell for over 1 gold if you're a fisher.

Warnings

Be nice, people would rather buy from a good person than some jerk.
Do not try to scam other players, this will prevent people from buying from you later on, and may even get you an account suspension or ban.
Respect the Trade channel and do not use channel spam to advertise your items.
NEVER use "/y" to try and sell, people find it annoying, and if you annoy someone, they will not want to buy from you.

Steps

Turn on you ps3 and remember to back up anything you would like to keep.
Go into Setting and scroll down to system settings, and choose Format Utility.
Select Format Hard Disk, and confirm your selection twice. Remember: everything will be deleted once this is confirmed.
Pick "format allot 10GB to the Other OS". This would leave the rest of the space for your ps3 gaming needs.
Select quick format to speed things up. When finished, it will restart the system.
Insert the disk with the operation system you have just copied.
Go back to settings and system setting and scroll down to install other Os. It will start scanning and a file will pop up now hit Start and it will install real quick, now go back to system setting and go to default system and change it to other Os to boot Linux up.
Plug in your usb keyboard and mouse once booted. Now the installation will begin a black screen will start up with some words hit enter once it will prompt "Now loading kernel …. It will take some time now"
Wait for installation to complete. If you have any problems installing type in “Boot/game/os that will go back to XMB for the ps3 “
Double click the install icon. It will set up your Linux, your user name, password and all the stuff you need to set up your computer/games system.

You now have an Xbox 360, but you don't want it to be smashed, scratched or mistreated. You may worry about it being scratched, but now you can protect your pride and joy.

Steps

Don't get rid of the box the system came in, or the receipt for that matter. You will not have trouble with it or it won't shipped broken. This is no problem. Simply bug them until they repair it. Or you can take the clever approach and get a similar system.
Keep paddles, games, instruction booklets, and any Xbox Live membership cards in a safe place. You can put them in the same box that you received your system in as well!
Keep track of the cords. For recharging rechargeable batteries in the USB port, for power, TV hookup, Ethernet cable, any cords, and know where they are at all times.
Apply a faceplate to your Xbox 360. If it accidentally gets scratched, the skin will take the hit.
Attach a cooling device to the back of your Xbox 360. This will help the hard-drive not to get fused to the 360 while you play all night long, and will also help prevent the Red Ring of Death. Disclaimer: may be noisy.
Place your Xbox 360 directly on a high surface away from dust, or clean it regularly following directions in manual.

Have a nice, soft piece of cloth handy to use with your Xbox 360. If your disks get dirty, you may want to give it a quick and gentle wipe.

Warnings

Never leave anything on top of the 360, such as a drink or a plate of food. It can damage the 360 or may catch fire if system overheats.
Do not have anything especially flammable near the cords of the Xbox at any time, unless cords are unplugged.
Do not play with frayed or damaged cords.
Do not move your console with a game in the system! This will damage the game inside it! If you have ever seen a perfect circular scratch on a game disk you played, you most likely moved it on accident.

North Korean missile launch

Sometime in April, North Korea wants to put a communication satellite into space, and are using a missile to test it. The U.N., U.S., and many other countries are telling North Korea not to launch the missile. Some even said that they will shoot the missile down if North Korea launches it. North Korea said that would be an act of war.

Barack Obama has said that he will not shoot the missile down if it is launched. I think that was a good idea. The U.S. certainly does not need another war, especially with the economy the way it is. Many say that North Korea is just using the satellite as a cover-up for testing ICBMs. The way I see it, even if it is a cover up, this time around is just a test. If North Korea is out to get someone with nukes, they only thing they need to worry about is making sure the missile makes it out of North Korea.

When you purchase a cable for your HDTV, sound system, or just a standard power cable, did you pay too much? When I go to a big retailer, and see an HDMI v1.3 cable for $80, I wonder how many people are actually buying it. When my late mother was purchasing a home theater system just 4 months ago, she purchased one of these cables. The minute I saw it, I told her to take it back, and purchase one from the internet. The HDMI v1.3 cable from ebay she purchased for $5 is the same quality as the $80 one, it just doesn't have the branding as the one from a big retailer.

All electronic cables are inexpensive, so if you are paying over $25 for a cable under 9 feet, maybe it's time to explore ebay for electronic cables. There are a few exemptions, however. Optic cables can be expensive, and a high quality coaxial cable (over 25 feet) can be expensive. Outdoor cables are also expensive, as the insulation is much thicker for the weather.

Gas Mileage

Gas mileage is always a big one, and all you ever hear is how to alter your driving style to increase your gas mileage and never about modifications to the vehicle. Personally, I tried driving very conservatively, and then stomping on the gas when I felt like it, and my gas mileage never changed. In order to truly increase gas mileage is to do modifications on the engine. The most important thing is using less fuel to create the same amount of power. Let's look at some ways that this is possible.

1. Increase the compression ratio to something over 9.5:1 if the vehicle is not already there (don't touch compression if your vehicle is supercharged or turbocharged). Increasing the compression ratio will create more power with less fuel by compressing the fuel more, making a more complete burn. The increased compression ratio also increases torque and horsepower by a considerable amount. If you need higher octane gas, you can go back to lower octane by retarding the ignition timing, but the gained power will be lost (not the fuel economy though, that stays).

2. Let your engine breathe better. Putting a less restrictive muffler on with no other modification isn't going to do much because there is only a certain amount of air able to go into the engine. Lets say your stock air intake allows 200 CFM of airflow, and the stock exhaust allows 300 CFM. If you add an performance muffler that flows 800 CFM, but your catalytic converter only allows 500 CFM and the stock exhaust manifold allows 400 CFM, you are only going to be flowing 400 CFM out the exhaust. But your air intake is stock, so really your total flow is still only 200 CFM. So in order to allow your vehicle to breathe easier, you need to increase the CFM of every breathing component of the vehicle.

3. Get rid of that belt driven radiator fan. Really, these things are out-dated, I don't know why they keep putting them on cars. Get an electric radiator fan instead. They do not put any load on the engine, and they flow more air at idle, when you need the cooling the most.

If any modification requires bigger fuel injectors or more fuel, then it will not increase fuel economy. DO NOT get this modification if you want good fuel economy.

How to bring US economy back on its feet

Bringing back the economy is a daunting task that must be faced. The largest problem is that many jobs are outsourced to China, helping out their economy. When a person in the US buys something made in China, some of that is helping out China (or where ever the product is produced). First, we need to pay off our debts to China, then, force the US companies to bring the manufacturing jobs back to the US.

Next, cut government. The less government, the less taxes, more money in the civilians pockets. This gives civilians more trust in buying what ever, helping the economy.

The last thing I will cover here, is, the US needs to get its own oil. There is decades worth of oil in Alaska, but, I'm sorry, we have to drill there. Conservation will remain a priority, but drilling for oil in Alaska will bring this economy, and stop gas prices from raising even more.

Fed cuts interest rates again

When someone thinks of cut interest rates, they commonly think "Oh, I can get a loan with less interest now." That is not entirely true, and cutting interest rates hurts savers big time. In the early 70's, interest rates on a savings account was 12%, that means 12 dollars a year just for having 100 dollars in the bank. This is how banks had money to loan. People had huge incentive to put their money in a bank, so the bank could loan out more money. Now, with savings accounts having a mere .5% interest rate, and CD's having around 3.5%, many people don't see an incentive to saving. More people get loans, and the bank doesn't have the money to give back to savers, causing a bank to get into trouble. The bank systems are one of the bases of our economy. If this economy is to thrive, higher interest rates will be needed.

Iran stops taking US currency for oil

Iran hasn't been selling oil in US currency for a few months now. Not many know this, and if they do know, they don't think much of it. Iran is the second largest OPEC crude oil producer. Wonder why gas in the US is so expensive? That is one of the reasons.

Iran stopped talking US currency saying "it's a worthless piece of paper". The weak dollar is also blamed for the crippled purchasing power of Iran.

People keep saying that our economy is on the verge of recession. Well, that is what they said a 7 months ago, and it has been getting worse every month. According to the International Monetary Fund, the US GDP growth rate is .5%, compare that of China's which is 9.3%. Anything under 5% is considered stagnant. The US's economy is not only in a recession, but it seems more like it is on the verge of a depression. On top of that, the US is in over $9 trillion in debt, most of that belonging to China.

Many families feel this impact, and hard. Prices of food have gone up, and just getting to the store costs $1.90 (assuming the store is 5 miles away and the vehicle gets 20 mpg). Gas is so getting so expensive now, and the oil refineries have the capacity to make more, but they refuse.

Think hard on who you vote for next election, for it is the diciding factor in whether or not we make it through this recession.

MacBook Air

This is a new type of laptop for sure. Only 1.92 cm thick, this computer is definitely small. But at a price. It comes with a 1.6 GHz processor or and optional 1.8 GHz. The MacBook Air only has one USB 2.0 port, a micro-DVI port, a headphone jack, and a power port. There is no disc drive, and the only way to get discs is to buy the external SuperDrive. You can get it with an 80 GB 4200 hard drive or a 64 GB SSD. This is computer is very small, so surely it is more fragile. The MacBook Air also has a 13.3 in screen (1280 x 800 native). Prices are $1,800 for basic to $3,200 for everything.

In my opinion, just get a MacBook, they are a little thicker, but are way more usable.

11-year old car chase

An 11-year old started a 100mph car chase in Louisiana on Saturday. The boy apparently has been driving for 6 months, allowed by parents. The chase started when the boy dropped his disabled father off at a hospital, when police saw the boy speeding on Interstate 310. The chase later ended when the boy drove up to a Burger King where is mother was working at the time.

Both parents and the boy were placed under arrest. The boy was charged with fleeing from an officer, reckless driving, speeding, passing on the shoulder, improper lane usage, and not having a drivers license.

Typhoon Krosa

Five people were killed in Taiwan. These deaths were caused be Typhoon Krosa. When the typhoon hit, winds were approx. 78mph. The good news is, the typhoon weakened to a tropical storm when it hit land on China.

Many resorts had to be evacuated, even on China's week long national holiday.

Air Raid Siren goes off in Pocatello, Idaho

Pocatello/Chubbuck--

At around 20:20 (mountain time) Monday, 25 August, 2007, an air raid siren went off from the Simplot area. It went off again 5 minutes later. There was an odd smell in the air shortly after. All tests of sirens are supposed to be announced, and this was not announced. No known reason as to why the siren went off as of yet, but any further info I shall post it.

All major factories and facilities are to be equipped with a siren in the case of an incident at the facility that can affect the nearby community.

Reason known: A man unfortunately caught fire and had severe burns. He later died from his injuries.

Tornado in N.Y., Earthquake in L.A.

I heard today that there was a tornada in Brooklyn, N.Y. and an eathquake in L.A. It seemed odd to me that I heard of the tornado for only 4 seconds on the news, and the earthquake from Jay Leno only. It seems that the tornado did quite a bit of damage, and they are still cleaning up. 20 buildings were evacuated, and 32 families are without shelter. The storm that the tornado was spawned from brought over 3 inched of rain in less than an hour.

The L.A. earthquake was a 4.6 magnitude earthquake. There was no significant damage, but a bridge was closed temporarily, then reopened after sustaining "cosmetic damage".

Fire just West of Pocatello, Idaho

A fire approx. 5 miles west of Pocatello, Idaho started July 23, about 11 PM mountain time. At 1 AM on the 24th, it seems the fire is approx. 500 acres, and looks to be 10% contained. There have been evacuations in the area.

Wildfires in the West

The wildfire situation is growing ever more grim. With 7 new large fires reported Sunday, and dry thuderstorm activity due to increase over Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. One of the biggest fires is a fire in the Mountain Home, Idaho area. This fire has burned over 400,000 acres and is only 10% contained. The BLM is allocating all available resources for this fire, and they currently have 12 hand crews, 4 helicopters, and 28 engines on the scene.

Dust storms in Phoenix, AZ

Recently, there was a very large dust storm in Phoenix, Arizona. The type of storm is called a Haboob, which is Arabic for the large storms in the Sahara. There are many videos of the storm, and they are all amazing. This storm was caused by a Thunderstorm that created a lot of wind, picking up dust, creating a storm up to 3,000 feet high.

This movie is a great movie for the family or anyone else! It had me cringing in my seat waiting for what next! If you get the chance to see this movie, you won't regret it. Many surprises, and the animation was superb. The humans do look a little cartoonie, but it is a movie targeted at kids. If you arn't a kid, you will still enjoy this movie.

The Simpson's Movie

One of the most asked questions I get is, "You think the Simpson's Movie will be as big as Harry Potter, or be a dud?" The answer is, we can only wait and see. The Simpson's is the longest running tv show in the U.S., and they are still going. It is one of the favorite shows, and it will be the first movie. One thing is for sure, you will see a review of it on this blog for sure!

Spielberg Games

Steven Spielberg, a renouned film director, has been working with EA Games to create 3 video games.

One is code named LMNO and it will be for the Xbox 360 and PS3. BBC News reported that it is "the player partners with a female character who evolves over time depending on how she interacts with other characters in the game."

The other is code named PQRS, and it will be for the Nintendo Wii. It is a game that is good for the whole family and it is "a mix of Saturday-morning cartoon and Jenga."

The third game is yet to be announced.

Bring back the troops

A bill passed recently that stated the majority of U.S. troops in Iraq will be brought back to the U.S. by April of 2008. Bush says he will veto any such bill, but I have no knowledge as of yet that he has done so. Bush claims the surge in Iraq is working, but others arn't so convinced.

Opinion:

I personally think it is about time the U.S. brings back the troops! Bush and his Administration have been saying the surge is working ever since the U.S. went to Iraq. Where's the progress? Who knows.

Bush says US will finish its job in Iraq

Many Republicans who supported the war in Iraq are now pushing the Bush Adminitration to create a time table to bring back the troops from Iraq. John McCain claims that when he was recently in Iraq, he saw progress with Bush's surge in Iraq. Bush is asking for 2 more months and promising that the surge will be a success.

More than 70% of the US citizens want to get out of Iraq now. Democrats and many Republicans are now pushing Bush to get out of Iraq by Spring of '08.

Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix

Review

First off, this movie has a new director, and they are brilliant! Although this movie didn't quite follow the book as well as it could have, it was a brilliant preformance. There were a number of surprises if you havn't read the book, and it had great elements that made this movie one to come back to. When I saw this movie, I was so taken by the sheer thrill of this movie, I just had to see it again!

4 thumbs up! This movie is definitely worth the money.

Apple, Windows, or Linux?

I've had experience with Mac, Windows, and Linux, and they all have their weakpoints and strongpoints. If you are thinking about getting one or the other, then you will like this review!

Mac:

Pros: The mac has a very good OS system. It is all built together so it all works together. It is also very good with media editing, and it comes with great software. It has a large cool factor as well.

Cons: You can only get mac by buying their computer, which may not have what you want on it.

Windows:

Pros: Has a lot of software available. One of the most easiest to learn, and is very popular, so help is easy to find.

Cons: Not much free software, and it is not a very reliable system. You can't change the interface very easily either.

Linux:

Pros: Extreamly reliable server and system. Very fast, and can be used on vitually all systems. 99% of the software is free as well.

Cons: Hard to install programs because of all the dependancies. Hard to learn how to operate to it's full extent.

What would I recommend? None, because it all depends on your needs. If you are going for a simple interface just to read email and write documents, go with Windows. If you need video and picture editing, go with Mac. Need a server? Go with Linux.

heat, Heat, HEAT!

The Western area of the U.S. is in a heat wave! Triple digit temps. going from Yuma, Arizona, all the way up into Montana. 115 F in southern Utah.

When will it end? Well to make things worse, the NOAA says that Idaho and surrounding area will be receiving a deficit of rain this year, and temps are supposed to be above normal all the way into November.

Tips: Keep hydrated! This includes your pets. Hydration is the most important thing for your body. If it gets too hot, and you don't have A/C or fans, go to a public area such as a Library that has A/C. Hang out in there a bit if you have to.

July 4th

Sorry I missed July 4th! There is a new tradition I think is perfect! First an explanation.

There was someone at the firework show I was at that had a green laser pointer. He was pointing the laser pointer at the smoke generated by the fireworks. Everyone saw it!

So if you have any laser pointers, bring them to the fireworks show! If you can see the whole laser beam, thats better! (Local laws apply)

By-the-way, I have some "used" fireworks from the firework show I was at if anyone wants them! 2 bucks!

Idaho New Driver Law

About a week ago, Idaho passed a bill stating that the driving permit period has been increased from 4 months to 6 months. It also states that new drivers cannot drive with more than one person that is not family for a period of 6 months after receiving their drivers licence.

Idaho passed this law in an attempt to lower the amount of teen accidents in Idaho.

iPhone!

I know you all are very sick of all the iPhone hype, but too bad!

The iPhone, if you don't know, is by Apple. You can buy 4 GB and 8 GB versions. The network that has the iPhone is AT&T. The iPhone has built in WiFi, iPod, and of course, a phone.

AT&T stores around the nation were packed on "iDay". Other stores such as Verizon Wireless actually said they will be open all day that day!

The iPhone will run you $500 to $600 dollars, and yes, it syncs with iTunes.

Ducks

We all love ducks and gease! So I decided to tell you guys about my mom's gease and duck! They started out with 3 baby gease and a few chickens, but then their coop caught on fire, killing all the gease. They purchased 3 more gease and no more chickens. The gease were so cute! I went away for a few weeks, and when I came back, one goose had a bent neck, so my mom brought it back to the store, and they gave us a duck. When I came back, the gease were so big! They still had their down, though.

I picked up a duck, and it crapped all over me! But oh well, they are cute.

Toyota and the U.S.

Apparently, Toyota is thinking about halting production of car plants in the U.S. Toyota says that they can make cars in Japan for less money than in the U.S. Despite the increasing sales in the U.S., Toyota would rather make the cars in Japan and ship them over to the U.S.

Where's My Feet?

In a Kentucky Six Flags Park, a 13-year-old girl had her feet chopped off. It was on a Superman drop ride. I couldn't quite tell what the cause was, but witnesses said that they saw some cables break on the ride, so I am assuming that the cable cut her feet off at the ankle.
The Superman ride drops riders from over 120 ft, at speeds up to 54 mph. A big Six Flags man says that these rides have been safe for the past however many years. Six Flags has closed some rides similar to the Superman one just to be safe.
I wouldn't want to have my feet chopped off!

Honey Bees

Apparently, bees are dissapearing. Many people are saying that their honey bees are leaving their hives and dissapearing forever. I've heard that Germany has added the Honeybee to their endangered species list. Of course, if the bees die off, there will be a significant loss in pollination, thus plants will die, then animals, then us. Maybe next time you see that honeybee flying around in your house, you shouldn't kill it. :)

DST changes

Don't forget to set your clocks forward one hour Sunday, March 11! This is three week earlier than usual. Daylight Savings Time will end on November 4, a week later this year. The explanation? In 2005, a bill was passed to add 4 weeks of DST. It claims it can save energy by giving people more daylight time in the evening. This bill will take effect March 1, 2007, which has already passed, so be prepared!
Many are also saying that this will cause some problems for people that are not informed of the change. Being an hour late to work or school would not be very pleasing, so tell all your friends, and foes if you want.

Google OS?

I've heard / seen rumors of a Google operating system for home computers. I have no idea if it is true or not, but I'm curious about it! It would be easy to dress up a Linux distribution to look like a Google OS, but it wouldn't be Google. Would Google make a Linux distro, or would they make their own OS? Seems unlikely Google would release an OS, and if they do, don't expect it anytime soon. If I hear anything of it, I will post more!
